Jubilee Hall
The Jubilee Hall was built in 1913 when Mir Osman Ali Khan was on the throne of Hyderabad state. It is an architectural marvel of Hyderabad. The palace is situated in the green lawns of the Public Gardens, also known as the Bagh-e-Aam.
History
It was in the year of 1937 that the coronation ceremony to mark the occasion of silver jubilee of Nizam VII took place here. This is how the palace got its name. A special made gold plated chair was erected for this grand occasion with the Nizams crest inscribed. You can now see the chair at Purani Haveli.
Architecture
The building of the Jubilee Hall has a beautiful facade which has been carved out in the Indo-Persian style. It was in the center of the hall that a throne for the Nizam was built in the shape of Dastar or the Crown of the Nizam. You can easily locate it as it is built in white squares in the middle.
The big rectangular hall used to serve as the State's Legislative Council for 27 years, before being moved to the present building.
