Neemrana Fort Palace
The Neemrana Fort-Palace is one of the most popular tourist hotspots on the Delhi to Jaipur highway. The Neemrana Fort-Palace is quite close to the Aravalli ranges in Rajasthan. The fort palace was constructed on a flat plateau ground which makes this refurbished hotel quite accessible. Most people stop here en route to Jaipur.
History
The Fort's history dates back to the year 1464 when the palace construction began. The heritage hotel covers about 25 acres of lands out of which the palace of 10 storeys covers 3 acres of that portion. In 1986, the palace was restored and was transformed into a luxury hotel.
Neemrana was the 3rd capital of the Prithviraj descendants. The beautiful site was hand-picked by Raja Rajdeo. The name of the fort-palace was given from a native chieftan-Nimola who lost against the Chauhans but pleases for his name to be used for his long lost kingdom.
Architecture
The palace is itself huge. The arches, courtyard and the work on the walls and the halls are eye-catching to say the least. The mix of fine Rajput architecture is best seen with the Mughal touch. The hotel has 50 rooms out of which 7 are luxury-suite. Almost every room has balcony of its own. The interiors are furnished with colonial style furniture which provides a very comfortable stay. Each and every room is well equipped with modern day facilities and has a view that will certainly take your breath away. The architectural marvel fits beautifully amongst the mountains.
Best time to Visit
Most people visit the Neemrana Palace throughout the year but the months form August till March is the best for sightseeing.
