Par River
River Par is a river belonging to the state of Arunachal Pradesh which is situated in the northeastern part of India. The river is beautiful and significant and is somewhat the life of the people of Arunachal Pradesh. The main tributaries of Par River are Nimte and Pang rivers. The river joins Subansiri River and eventually joins the Brahmaputra.
Present Scenario
The present Scenario of the river is just like other rivers. The river is absolutely polluted and is completely unfit for any domestic use. Urban development has led to the growth of industrial power. Factories and new establishments have employed a number of people from the rural areas. These people do not have any knowledge on how to keep a river clean, they tend to dump all the raw materials of the industries and factories into the river which leads to its pollution. The pipelines of several factories and a number of houses are connected to the river, which means that all the waste water and sewage from these places tend to pollute the river. This makes the river unfit for consumption of any sort. Drinking this river water is absolutely impossible.
The factory waste includes garbage of all sorts, oil, raw material, fly ash, etc. The mingling of such waste with the watercourse results in killing tons of water body creatures, fish being the most important water body animal. Destruction of this life also leads to an imbalance in the food chain which in turn ultimately harms human beings.

A number of plans have been made to clean the river. But this is of no use as the river is large and cleaning it is absolutely impossible. Even though the river has been completely polluted, it is somehow useful for trade. The watercourse allows the ships to travel at short distances. This enables trading within the country. Although, the river is polluted, people to visit it for boat rides to enjoy themselves.
