Amanat River

If you love rivers, you will love India. One of the most fascinating rivers in India is the Amanat River. This river covers a long distance and passes through Palamu and Chatra regions located in Jharkhand. The river originates from Hazirabagh Plateau and emerges in Chatra region. This region is flanked by Lawalong Wildlife Sanctuary. From this region, it tapers gradually and moves westwards and crosses Palamu region. About five miles north, this river joins Koel River. The river has a refined basin and to the Palamu region’s east, it is the major drainage canal.

Due to the fact that so many people visit the river, a bridge is being constructed on it to make viewing better and also to aid in transportation and movement from one place to the other. To some people, this is not a good idea because they feel it will destruct the excitement and also natural feel the river brings. Well, the truth is that it does not happen that way.

Course

The course of Amanat River is quite impressive. While passing through Jharkhand state, it touches Palamu and Chatra regions specifically. The source of this river lies close to Hazirabagh Plateau. Later this river is majorly seen in Chatra region. This region is located adjacent to Lawalong Wildlife Sanctuary. In Daltongani’s north, this river converges with Koel River. With finely refined basin, the river acts as main drainage canal in Palamu region.

The Lawalong Wildlife Sanctuary is another amazing place that all tourists pay a visit to when they visit the Amanat River. This wildlife sanctuary is what makes the Amanat River different from the other rivers in the land. The Amanat River is one of the few rivers in India and around the world. Although the wildlife sanctuary is some few meters south of Amanat River, it has gained so much exposure with so many people visiting the river and the sanctuary with their families as well as loved ones.

The wildlife represents nature at its best. Yes, there are so many animals both wild and tame in the wildlife sanctuary. It is a place where almost every animal can be found. There is so much it offers to people who visit with their children. This is because; children will have something to watch. This is the only way they can enjoy their time on the trip and take some pictures to keep the sanctuary and the river in their minds at all times.

If you love any type of water sports, the Amanat River can be used for such fun activities. It is best however to be very certain and also to be very careful. Never forget that, the Amanat River can be quite deep which is while you need to have protective gear on. Amanat River is one of the most beautiful sights to see in Jharkhand and will always have a large tourist following.

Tributaries

Chatra District

Chatra is one of the regions through which Amanat River streams through. The district is one of the 24 districts Jharkhand state in India. Also, you will find so many people from all over the world stopping first at Chatra before they go on to the Amanat River because; it is the administrative head office of the district.

Palamu District

Palamu is another popular district where Amnant River flows through with Chatra to merge. This means, to the Amanat River, these two districts are very important because; it is the its meeting with these two that makes things work.
