Koringa River
Koringa River is also called as River Coringa in Telgu language. This river is the branch of or we can say that Athreya division of the Godavari River and its flow in the Godavari district which is located in east of Andhra Pradesh. The geography of this river is related to the Gautami Godavari River. So, it is the branch of Godavari or we can say that eastern branch and this river is split at Vijeswaram. Whereas the Vasista Godavari is the western division and the other major division is Vainateya.
Coringa mangrove forests are established within the Godavari delta in Andhra Pradesh. The mangrove zone comprised of more than thirteen types of mangrove in addition to different plants is also available in this territory. The accompanying three overwhelming mangrove plants, Excoecaria agallocha, avicennia marina, as well as sonneratia apetala all are discovered and available on the banks of a major channel of the Godavari waterway going through the woods. The structure and species dispersion of mangrove, in the Channel Nagathana Kalaya has been depicted.
If you want to discover something about Coringa Wildlife sanctuary after the rest of an evening so the distance is approx 15 km from Kakinda. It is very shocking and in Kakinda there is nobody which has caught the wind of Coringa in your whole life.
Early next morning, our auto driver gave us a ride to Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary placed close to the village of Chollangi, something like 15 kms from Kakinada. The ride was through the green fields, coconut trees and modest villages, the regular sight of the East Godavari region.
