Zuari Bridge
The Zuari Bridge is one of the important bridges of the Konkan Railway connecting the North Goa to the South Goa. This bridge is built on the River Zuari and that is why, it is called as Zuari Bridge. It took around three years to complete the bridge and serves as the popular route between North and South Goa. The bridge was constructed by the Gamon India Limited and completed in April 1983. It is one of the longest bridges of the Kon Kan Railway.
Geography
The bridge is constructed over the Zuari River and is 1319 meters wide and 4237 feet long. It offers a beautiful view of the River Zuari and also serves as the connected route between the North and the South Goa. The bridge is sometimes called as the Konkan Railway Bridge because it is located parallel to the bridge of the Konkan Railway.
Description of the Zuari Bridge
Since the time of its construction, the Zuari Bridge has gone through a lot of maintenance because it has developed cracks due to the heavy traffic. As it is an important bridge, therefore, it is maintained on a regular basis so that the transportation is not affected in any manner.
