Cinemaa Awards

Movie Artists Association group, shortly referred as MAA, has instituted CineMAA Awards to recognize and honor film personalities of Telugu Cinema and this initiative was introduced from the year 2004. Again in 2013, Tamil Cinema was also included in the set of Awards being presented in an annual festival.

The Awards are given to the best performers who are chosen both by public poll and by expert judgment by a specially appointed panel of experts.

Apart from awards for various categories in Film production, this forum also gives away an Award to the most outstanding personality every year as the Life time Achievement Award.

The Award Ceremony is held at Hyderabad International Convention Center of the Novotel Group and the entire programme is live telecast in MAA TV Channel on the days of function.

Awards

MAA also recognizes the film personality who has bagged most awards in the past years of MAA Award recognitions. Last year, this Award went to the Actor Suriya, who is also the popular Film personality in Tamil Cinema.

CineMAA recognizes and gives Awards under its Popular awards category, which is chosen both by public poll and expert judgment for the Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor – Male, Best Actor – Female, Best Actor - Male (Tamil), Best Actor - Female (Tamil), Best Outstanding Actor, Best Outstanding Actress, Best Face of The Year, Best Villain, Best Comedian, Best Music Director, Best Male Debut, Best Female Debut and Best Debut Director.

Apart from the Popular Awards, the Cine MAA gives away awards for the Best Lyricist, Best Editor, Best Costume Designer, Best Fight Master, Best Visual Effects, Best Art Director, Best Screenplay, Best Dialogue, Best Story, Best Male Playback Singer, Best Female Playback Singer, Best Cinematographer, Best Choreographer.
Another feature of CineMAA Awards is the Critic's awards given for the Best Actor (Jury), the Best Actress (Jury), the Best Director (Jury), the Best Film (Jury) and also Special Jury Award for the Best Supporting Actor, the Best Supporting Actress and one Award for Lifetime Contribution.

CineMAA Awards 2013

The CineMAA Awards 2013 was a grand function in which the Most Awards Winner, who was honored 6 times out of 8 events, the Best Male Actor Suriya was the Chief Guest, while a galaxy of cine celebrities were present. This function was organized at HICC, Hyderabad, where particularly the most illustrious actors of Telugu field made their presence and graced the occasion.
