Khanna is a city situated in East Punjab in Ludhiana district. It came into existence 500 years back and has the largest grain market in Asia. This city is located 40 kilometers from Ludhiana on the Grand Trunk road (GT Road), national highway 1 between Ludhiana to Ambala . some of the villages around Khanna are Payal, Ikolaha, Rahoun, Issru, Harion Kalan and Boothgarh, Bulepur, Rasulra and Ghutind. Khanna is connected to rest of the country by both rail and road.
