Hapur is a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh in the North side of India and is near to Delhi and has a population of over 3 lakhs. Jana Shrutis say that Raja Harishchandra found Hapur and the local shruti say that it was founded by Hardatta in the year 983. Earlier known as Haripur, now this is called as Hapur. It is a well developed place with many famous industries, like they are famous for the manufacturing of steel, and also the paper here is very famous, they are also known for the unique handicrafts that they provide, the tubes, handloom bedsheets, cones and papads. The Paper Cone factories that they run in this place are around 25 in number, the place is developing day by day with people getting educated day by day and more employment opportunities coming up for the benefit of the society and to eradicate unemployment, they are also coming up with more of schools so as to eradicate the illiteracy problem as well. This place is all set to be well developed few years down the line.

The place has humidity and the summers are very hot and the winters are cold and it rains during the monsoons but has no snow fall.
