Nawa tehsil is one of the isolated official circles. This tehsil constitutes a larger portion of village panchayats (Patwar Mandals). This division is geographically located between 2701N 7500E27.02N 75.0E. This place is located at an altitude of 369 mtrs from MSL. Nawa is well connected with roads. Link roads within the division are also spread well. To access this division, one can follow the road ways and rail head also. Nearest Airport to reach this place is Jodhpur. Bikaner airstrip has some restrictions for civil passengers. Major source of income for the residents of this tehsil is agriculture. Afterf the India got independence, famous freedom fighter Shri Kishan Lal Shah was elected as first MLA of this constituency. He was time and again elected in 1957 and 1967. At present Shri Mahindra Chodhary is leading the constituency in legislative assembly of Rajsthan. Stone mining is also done in this division but not as much as in Makrana and Merta divisions. Annual rainfall in this division is not much satisfactory and farmers arrange any auxiliary means for irrigation of crops. From the business point of view, this division has some possibilities and in coming future, the share in overall economy is likely to increase. In the present five year plan, so many industries are earmarked for this division.
