Nagour is the district headquarters and a tehsil itself. This place is geographically located at a coordinates of 2625' & 2740' North Latitude & 73.10' & 75.15' East Longitude. In the northwest, Nagour shares its border with Bikaner district, Pali district falls in the south of Nagour. Western border of this division shares the frontiers of Jodhpur. Eastern side is shared by Jaipur and South eastern side by Ajmer. Nagour falls under the region of Marwar. As far as the flora and fauna of this division is concerned, complete surrounding area of this tehsil is full of desert. Geographically this division is located on a tough area. Climate of this division is generally dry and harsh summer always present here though the winter is comparatively chilled. Normal rain receipt is very less and uncertain. Temperature of this division shuttles between 32F and 117F. Normally the mean temperature is 74F. Commercially, this division has a good reputation. For the villagers, cattle fair organized here every year. A large number of horses, camels and bullocks are traded here. This fair is called Ramdev Pashumela. As far as the ore is concerned, this division is rich. Limestone, other various types of stone are found here. This town has also the pride to have first ever plant of JK White cement. The plant was placed here during 1984.
