Racherla is a small tehsil in the district of Prakasam. The geographical location of the city is at 15.4667N 78.9667E. The tehsil does not have a very high population. However the literacy rate is pretty average. There are ZPH schools in this block that offer the best education possible in and around the district. The tehsil has 31 villages in total under it. Several of Racherlas administrative offices are located in this tehsil. There are many places to visit as tourist spots in the tehsil. Temples dedicated to lord Shiva are in great numbers. Devotees visit it every year on the auspicious festival of shivratri to pray to the lord and ask for blessings for their well being. The town has mostly all the basic amenities that a tehsil can have. People who need special health facilities still need to visit the nearby cities. Hence the health care system needs a lot of development. There are many schools and colleges nearby and people are sending their children so that they can become educated and help in the welfare of the tehsil. The literacy rate of the tehsil needs improvement as well. The government is doing a lot welfare work for this tehsil.
