Churu is a tehsil and district headquarters too. This tehsil is located at an altitude of 315 mtrs from MSL and geographical coordinates of this area are between 26.60 N 75.450 E. This tehsil falls on the famous railway route Bikaner-Rewari. Climate of this area is almost hot. Annual rainfall of this area is less as the maximum portion of the year is hot and monsoon season is of less than two month. Winters are quite chilled and mercury goes to -60 C. History reveals that this town was founded by a Jat warrior Churru in 1620. The Rathores polished this city otherwise the vast barren area of Jangladesh had covered this area. This place is not having much fertile land and maximum population is depending on jobs and business. This town is also a constituency for Lok Sabha. Present Mr. Maqbool Mandela is heading the constituency in assembly. This tehsil is well connected with railway network. Delhi , Bikaner and other cities are easily connected with this area. Roads are well maintained and sufficient wide whether link roads or state highways. In this town electricity generation is also not a problem. A city of Haryana, named Hissar provides power to this division. Maximum portion of the Churu is electrified.
