Being the second largest town, Kavali attracts many tourists and business. The place is well connected to the other big cities like Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata through railways roads. Kavalis average literacy level is 72% which is not that bad but they are trying to make it better.

The culture of the town is quite rich. The main language of them is Telugu. One could find several education institutions here and because of that students visit there from different places. Their main source of food is cultivation and seafood. Rice and fish are the common food of them as they live beside the Bay of Bengal. These temples are responsible for the festivals that are organized by the devotees from around. For entertainment, people have five movie theatres there and another one is in the process to open. Even a new area has been allotted for building a multiplex.
