The tehsil of Kurud has been on a road to progress and quite a few developments have been seen in the past few years. It is in the state of Chhattisgarh. To sustain a decent living they engage in doing odd jobs so that they can support themselves and their families. Poverty is a major issue prevalent here and most of the people live below the poverty line without basic facilities. The tehsil is very well developed. It has all the basic requirements any small town would need. The people here are very hard working.
