Procedure for getting a new gas connection of Bharat Gas

In order to get a new connection the first and foremost is to find the nearest Bharat Gas Distributor in your area. Then approach the agent with your residence proof. Following documents are required as documents of residence proof: Ration Card/ Telephone Bill/ Electricity Bill/ Passport/ Employer's Certificate/ Allotment of Flat / Letter of possession/ Voters Identity Card/ Receipt of Rent.

If a person is residing in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka, then it is mandatory to submit the documents of ration card for a new connection of Bharat Gas. It is compulsory as per the guidelines issued by the authorities of state.

Once the formalities are completed, Bharat Gas will provide a new connection immediately.  After making the necessary payment a subscription voucher [SV] is given which a customer needs to keep safely.

A booklet is being issued by Bharat Gas Distributor. It is called Domestic Consumer Gas Card or Blue Book or the Pass Book in which particulars of LPG connection and other details of supply and services are fed by the distributor’s s staff. A customer is also given LPG Conservation and safety’s literature.

A Demonstration is show by the staff of distributor at the time of installation of LPG equipment at your residence.

For refilling please call the distributor and provide with your consumer ID No. of the cylinder. A customer can get at least 2 cylinders by depositing additional amount to the distributor.

ISI certified hotplates are available at distributor’s place. It is not compulsory to buy the hotplate from the distributor. A person can purchase any hotplate which has ISI mark on it.
