Chaksualso called as Chatsu is one of the cities and Municipality of Jaipur district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.Chaksu is a tehsil whose ancient name had been Champa. Chaksu is located on the average elevation of 297 m above the sea level. According to the Indian census of 2001, Chaksu is a thickly populated area having the contribution of males to be 52% while females constituting 48% of the population. The average literacy rate of Chaksu is found to be 53%, which is lesser than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. There are 67% male literates whereas the female literacy rate seen here is 38%. There are kids of age of below 6 years contributing 19% of the total population.

Chaksu located in district of Jaipur consists of geographical coordinates in north as well as in east. There are several number of villages found in Chaksu such as Akodiya, Barodiya,Badali, Chaksu, Bapugaon, Dehlala, Bara PadamPura, Bhawanipura, ChandelKalanetc to name a few.

Festival of ShitlaAshtmi

ShitlaAshtami is being celebrated here in Chaksu. This fair is organized in March-April or the Hindi month of chaitra every year at Chaksu. The goddess of small pox is Sheetla Mata in whose honor this fair is being held.
