Kesath is a small town situated in the state of Bihar, the main district nearby to this town is Buxar, famous for the legendary battle of Buxar that took place way back in history. Kesath has a population of a few lakhs, the male is to female ratio is at a higher side. It is about 32 kilometres from the city of buxar and about a 90 kilometres from the main city that is the capital of Bihar Patna.

Kesath has a few neighbouring villages namely Rampur and katnikar. the towns which are close to the small district of kesath are nawanagar ,chougain, bhrampur dumaroun.the city of kesath has a lot of schools and colleges in it as well as close by which indicates the town is on a rise of educational growth, the main form of livelihood comes from agriculture and farming, people are becoming aware in terms of economic and population growth thereby the city is slowly rising and coming to level with the main city of Bihar that is Patna.
