Sirohi is a tehsil of Sirohi district in Rajasthan, India. The town is the administrative headquarters of the district. Previously the tehsil was with Bombay state till 1948. Later it was given to Rajasthan, with an area of around 787 square kms with Abu road and Delwara tehsil. Sirohi district has five tehsils, named Abu road, Pindwara, Reodar, Sheoganj and Sirohi. Sirohi is also known as Dev Nagari, as many ancient temples are located here. The tehsil has many temples. Among them Ajari, Basanth Garh, Varmaan, Ambeshwar ji temple, Bamanvad ji temple, Jirawal temple, Mirpur temple, Sarvadham temple are very famous. Since the time of the Chouhan Deora rulers, the tehsil had become famous for building up doubled edged swords.

According to the 2001 census, the tehsil had a very low literacy rate. The west and the north portion of the tehsil is very dry. It is located in the rain shadow of the Mount Abu mountain which blocks the southwest monsoon. In 2006, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj declared Sirohi district as one of the most backward districts, among 250 other backward districts in India. Sirohi is amongst the twelve districts in Rajasthan, who are currently receiving funds from the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme. The tehsil is one of the less populated city in Rajasthan.
