Shab E Barat
Shab-e-Barat also recognised as Mid-Sha'ban is rejoiced by the Muslim society in the month of Shabaan. It occurs in the eight month of the islaam calendar. The previous night of Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban is known as Laylatu Baraah in which prayers are performed for long night. On this night the late ancestrals are also remembered.
History
As per Quraan as mentioned about Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban that this is one of the most sacred night known as Al Qadr. It is the night sacred then months in thousand in which worshipping almighty in that night of Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban is more sacred then worshipping him a thousand months which is equivalent to eighty four years and four months. Within it inclines angels and good spirits on that night with the permission of Almighty.
On the night of Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban there is harmony and peace. There is goodness from almighty to all the devotees until the dawn of the night of Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban.
It is believed by the Muslim community that there are many saying which talks about the merits of the Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban. One of the saying recited by Al Bhukhari whoever will devotes praying on the night of Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban with full faith and hoping for recompense, all his earlier sins will be pardoned and whoever will observe fast in the month of Ramadan with full faith and hoping for recompense, all his earlier sins will be pardoned.
Muslim community consider the night of Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban as a night of reverence and salvation. They believe there are all together five nights when the prayer is accepted and responded one of them is Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban.
On this night of Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban Muslim community recite Quraan and seek mercy. As per Quraan on the night of Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban the doors of mercy and forgiveness is open for all the devotees who observe forgiveness and who regret their sins whole heartedly.
Celebrations & Rituals
Muslim community offer prayer on this night to Allah or Almighty. Each prayer is started with salawat which means peace be upon time followed with the name of prophet and those to pray to seek forgiveness should start their prayer with wasila which is a religious practice which Muslim community observes to seek immediacy with Almighty.
Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban is a sacred night to seek forgiveness and mercy from Almighty, recollecting the previous sin and setting up the attention of not redoing any sin. It is believe that all the acts that are in contradiction to the rules of Muslim community should be evaded so that the prayer or Dua is accepted.
On the previou night of Shab-e-Barat or Mid-Sha'ban Muslim community prepare sweets or delicacy like Halwa to be shared with neighbours and relatives along with poor and needy.
