Kadipur a town and tehsil situated on the bank of the river Gomti between two major tourist destinations Bijethua Mahaviran and Dhopap.

As per the census of 2001, there were 6,795 people residing in Kadipur. While males constituted 53 per cent of the population, females comprise the rest. The average literacy rate of the town is 62 per cent, which is higher that the countrys average of 59.5 per cent. The male literacy rate is 69 per cent and the female literacy rate is 55 per cent. Over 16 per cent of the towns population is below six years of age.

There are two canals that flow through Kadipur and they are major sources of irrigation of the town. A weekend trip to Kadipur can cover the major villages of the tehsil including Barwaripur, Jagdishpur, Katsari, Kotiya, Luxmanpur and Sarayrani. The town is blessed with some good schools, namely Vidya Mandir, St. Xaviers and Saraswati Shishu Mandir. The common language of conversion of Kadipur is Avadhi, which is derivative of Sanskrit.

Yamuna Palace is a prominent place for entertainment in the town. It was constructed in the memory of Yamuna Prasad Singh, a noted public figure of Kadipur.
