Small city Dhanuara is municipal board of district Jyotiba Phule Nagar in Uttar Pradesh state in India. Dhanaura city is situated 10 kilometer far from the Gairaula and it has an elevation of around 212 m. according to 2001 census of India this city had an inhabitants of 24,465 with men represent 53% of the total population while females constitute only 47% of the total population and 17% of the total population is below six years. The average literacy rate of Dhanaura is 58%, which is less than the national literacy rate of 59.5% and the men literacy rate is 66% while women average literacy rate is 49%. It is one of the most important cities of sugar belt land in western Uttar Pradesh. Land of the city is extremely fertile. The main crops of the city are wheat rice, sugarcane, green vegetables and Pulses. This city is well known for GUR (a kind of Sugar). Commodities trading is the main source of income in Dhanuara. As this city has big commodity market, so it is also known as mandi Dhanaura. Some other main sources of income in this city are cloths and jewellery business. This city is renowned for temples and there are many renowned temples in this city includes Patharkuti temple, Mahadev temple, Krishna temple, Balji Dham , Teen devi temple, temple of lord Rama , Garhi temple, Jain temple, Ganesh aashram and Dham ashram. Therefore, this city has much religious significance.
