Sohagpur is small city in the Hoshangabad district in Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is a gram panchayat of same district too. The place is known for capital of Gondavna which was the princely state ruled under Nawab Navi Us jafar alvi in British India. The city is located at 22.7 in the north side and 78.2 in the east side. The average altitude of this place is 323 meters. This is a beautiful city and full of nature sites such as Marhai and Palakmati which is a river situated here.
