Bundi district is located in western India of Rajasthan State. The headquarters of this district is situated in the city of Bundi. Bundi was once part of the erstwhile kingdom of Kota. This district is surrounded by Tonk district on to the north, Bundi district to the west, to the southwest by chittorgarh district, Kota district on the south and river Chambal on the east and south.

Geographically, Bundi district total area is covered up to 5,550 km. The Longitude of this district is between 75°19' 30" to 76°19' 30" and Latitude is 24°59'11".

Bundi is the best place for tourists to visit. This district is filled with temples, forts, Palaces, waterfalls, lakes, etc. Also there are many more outing spots or excursions that can attract lot more tourists. The place was famous for its stepwells during the existence of the princely states. These stepwells were the only source of drinking water until pipeline system was introduced.
