Jalgaon is the hometown of Smt. Pratibha Patil, the 12th President of India. Jalgaon is also known as the Banana City.

Jalgaon is located in western India in the Maharashtra state of India. Jalgaon is also equipped with one more prominent feature i.e. Ajanta Caves which is one of the major tourist attractions of the place.

Jalgaon has a total area of 11765 sqkms and a total population of 3,679,936 people. Jalgaon is sidelined by the Madhya Pradesh state on the northern front, Eastern part by Buldhana, Southeastern part by Jalna and the southern part by Aurangabad, Nashik to the southwest, Aurangabad to the south, southwestern by Nashik, and again west by Dhule.
