Beohari is a nagar panchayat and a town in the district Shahdol in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The city is blessed with green forest, minerals and has primitive tribal population. It is 79.07 km away from the district main city Shahdol and 412 km away from Bhopal which is a main city of this state. The city is located at 23.09 in the north side and 81.38 in the east side and the average altitude of city is 332 meters. According to the census of 2001, the city population was 20,013 among which male represents 53 percent of total and females represent 47 percent. The literacy rate of Beohari is 64 percent which is higher than national rate of literacy.
