In the state of Chhattisgarh is a small tehsil called Katghora. The tehsil is about a few km away from the capital of the state Raipur. The tehsil is very well developed. It has all the basic requirements any small town would need. The people here are very hard working. They earn their livelihood through agriculture. The main occupation of the people of this tehsil is farming. They plant a few crops which they later sell in the town. To sustain a decent living they engage in doing odd jobs so that they can support themselves and their families. Despite the different health schemes being offered by the government there is no improvement. There is lack of proper food and as a result the women are mal nourished. Most of the population of this state comes from the rural areas. Urbanization has still not been prevalent in this tehsil. Population here is average. The ratio of men is to women is equal. The fertility rate is also very fair here. The tehsil has a great number of Scheduled castes and tribes. Poverty is one of the most nagging problems in this tehsil. People do not have enough of money to even afford two meals in a day.
