Hill Fort Palace
The Hill Fort Palace was the home of the then Nizam of Hyderabad. It is situated near Naubat Pahad and is sprawled over a 6.5 acre land. Now it has been adapted and functions as Ritz Hotel. It was in the year 1989 that the Government of India decided to convert the palace into a heritage hotel, as it continues to be till date.
History
The young prince of Nizam VII, Moazzam Jah who used to reside in this beautiful Hill Palace, which was constructed by Sir Nizamat Jung in 1915. He was an asthma-patient and was told to live in an environment free of dust. It was then that the young prince decided to build this palace and it had a spectacular view of the Bella House and the Husain Sagar lake. It was constructed in the year 1905. At that time, the palace took one Lac of rupees to build which was indeed a very big sum of money at that time.
Architecture
The famous historian Narender Luther once said that the architectural style of the palace was based on Trinity College, Cambridge. It was built in the backyard of Naubhat Pahad in 1915 by Sir Nizamat Jung.

Its nearest airport is Begumpet. Its nearest railway stations are Begumpet Station, Hyderabad Station and the Secunderabad Station. The AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) provides it with connectivity to all the major cities of India by road.
