Paigah Palace
Paigah Palace is one of the most beautiful palaces of Hyderabad known for its excellent architecture and captivating design that attracts many people. The palace has been designed by none other than a Paigah nobleman, Vicar-Ul-Umra. This palace is located in Begumpet district of Hyderabad.
History
The Paigah's have built a number of monuments in Hyderabad, therefore they are also known as the foremost builders. Umra had gifted this palace to the Nizam of Hyderabad and since then the palace also became one of the residents of the Nizams. It was during the 1740’s that Abul Fateh, one of the members of the Paigah family, came to Hyderabad and later on became the nobles of the Paigah family.
Architecture
The Paigah Palace follows a classical European style architecture which enhances its beauty. The Paigah Palace is a huge two storey building which consists of arches, Corinthian columns, portico, arcade verandahs and projected windows. The overall architectural style of the building is worth appreciating.
Most of the palaces in Hyderabad are based on the European architecture only. The open areas were used for partying while the other area was occupied for living. So if you come to Hyderabad, do visit the Paigah Palace and have a look at its architecture which signifies the old style and culture.
How to reach
In order to reach the Paigah Palace, you can either travel through the local buses from Hyderabad or even hire taxis which will directly take you to the destination. Hyderabad is well connected through proper transport facilities thus offering smoother travelling experience.
