Shri Shankeshwar Tirth
Shri Shankeshwartirth is one of the oldest temples of the country. The temple was built by Sajjan Shah in 1155 AD on the bank of Rupen River in Gujarat. The temple was a collection 52 idols before getting destroyed by Muslims in fourteenth century. Later in the sixteenth century, the temple was again constructed under the supervision of Shri Vijaysensurishvarji Maharaj Saheb with 52 idols. In 1760, the temple also has an open square along with a decorated and a vast square. The temple also has a pair of huge assemble halls as well.
Architecture
The temple has magnificent and majestic idols which are more than 50 in number. Worshipped for the last 87000 years has millions of faithful followers. The tirth is of utmost importance to all the followers as their belief is inviolable.

By Rail
The nearest railway station of Harij is at a distance of 10 kms only. There are public transports easily available that take the public to temple. Another nearby station is Viramgam 62 kms away from the ancient temple.
By Road
Well connected roads from all the direction are constructed. One can also take the public transport if required.
Also, there are excellent lodging and boarding facilities offered to the faithful followers who visit the temple from all over the world.
The temple is looked after by Sheth Jivandas Godidas Trust situated in the district Mehsana of Gujarat state, India.
