The All India Trinamool Congress (AITUC) is political party of West Bengal. It was established on January 1st in 1998. Trinamool-Congress party is headed by the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee. All India Trinamool Congress is at present the 2nd largest member of ruling “United Progressive Alliance” or UPA alliance. It is at this time the 6th largest party of Lok Sabha having 19 seats. The All India Trinamool Congress is significant ally of the Congress party along with the part of Union Government headed by “United Progressive Alliance”. History
After staying with INC for more than two decades, Mamata Banerjee made her own political party, "Trinamool Congress" that was registered having Indian Election Commission during mid of December in 1997. Election Commission allotted to party an elite symbol of Jora-Ghas-Phul. She came into an coalition with BJP in year 1999.
Division in the Trinamool Congress
After 6 years of formation of Trinamool Congress, it suffered division in year 2005 at what time Subrata Mukherjee drifted separate platform to follow differences having Chief of party Mamata Banerjee over question to ally with INC (Indian National Congress). Performance of the Party in Elections
In 1998 polls of Lok Sabha, TMC won seven seats. In next election of Lok Sabha which was held in year 1999, the party won eight seats having BJP as supporter, therefore increasing the tally of the party by one. In year 2000, TrinaMool Congress won Kolkata Municipal-Corporation Elections with huge votes. In year 2001, elections of Vidhan Sabha, it won sixty seats coalition with Congress (I). In 2004 elections of Lok Sabha, TMC get one place with Congress (I). In 2006 elections of Vidhan Sabha, the TMC won thirty seats with same partner Congress (I). In the state-assembly elections of West Bengal in 2011, TMC got majority of huge 184 seats out of total 294. Mamata Banerjee then became Chief Minister. The TMC too has five MLAs in assembly of Arunachal Pradesh, seven MLAs in Manipur Assembly along with one MLA in Assam plus one MLA in the Uttar Pradesh. It also have an MP in the Rajya sabha from the state of Jharkhand.

Mamata Banerjee
Mamata Banerjee, the 11th and present Chief Minister of the state of West Bengal, India. She is first lady to hold office. Mamta founded party All India Trinamool Congress or AITMC or the TMC in year 1997 and turned its chairperson, after the separation from “Indian National Congress” or INC. She is generally called "Didi" by everyone. In year 2011 Mamta pulled-off a earthquake victory for TMC in the state of West Bengal just by beating world's longest-serving and democratically-elected socialist government, Communist-Party of India or Marxist headed government of Left Front, bringing to the end thirty four years of the rule of Left Front in state. Mamta earlier served like railway Minister two times and also first lady Indian Railway Minister, coal Minister, along with Minister of State-for-Human-Resource-Development, the Department of sports and Youth Affairs child and Women Development in cabinet of Indian government.
Mamta opposed powerful land gaining for industrialization by communist government of West Bengal, India for Special-Economic-Zones at cost of farmers and agriculturalists.
Mukul Roy
Mr. Mukul Roy is present Indian Railway Minister. He is Indian politician along with the member of Rajya Sabha, upper Parliament house of Indi that representing the state of West Bengal. He too serves as General Secretary for his party, the All India Trinamool Congress. After Mamata resigned as Railway Minister, she was to be Chief Minister of the state of West Bengal, Mr. Roy was offered extra charge of Railway Ministry subsequent to didi articulated her wish that her political party keep Railway Ministry plus personally suggested Mr. Roy as railway minister to Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh. Derek O'Brien
Mr. Derek-O'Brien is Indian TV personality plus MP “Member of Parliament”. Brien hosts one of the longest and most popular running quiz show on television in India, “Bournvita Quiz Contest”.
In year 2004, Derek joined the All India Trinamool Congress, party of West Bengal, India. He is now vice-president of All India Trinamool Congress. In year 2009, he was created as head of committee of Passenger Services of Indian Railways, in the leadership of Trinamool Congress and railway leader Ms. Mamata Banerjee. In the month of July, 2011, Derek was selected for 1 of 6 seats in Rajya Sabha from the state of West Bengal through Trinamool Congress party. He was confirmed as MP on 19th August in year 2011.
Derek-O'Brien became first Anglo-Indian in Indian History for casting vote in Indian election of presidential in 2012 for electing 13th Indian President. He voted in the favor of Pranab Mukherjee since the Trinamool Congress supreme leader Mamata Banerjee proclaimed to support candidature of Mr. Mukherjee, just 2 days before election for highest post in India.
