The Rashtriya Janata Dal or RJD which is also known as "National People's Party" is political party of India. It is based in Bihar. It was founded in year 1997 by Mr. Laloo-Prasad Yadav. RJD came out as an outcome of Lalu Prasad Yadav who is Janata Dal’s ex-president, to be dispossessed by Mr. Sharad Yadav, who was then president on the corruption charges of $250 million more than farm sustains funds. The group base of party has been Muslims and Yadavs traditionally, 2 large along with relatively active political segments of population of Bihar. In year 2008, Rashtriya Janata Dal got the position of known national-level party that following the presentation in states of north-east. This party was derecognized and lost its status as national party in July 2010.

History
Rashtriya Janta Dal came into existence on 5th July, 1997. It was a historic day when Mr. Lalu-Prasad Yadav, Smt. Kanti Singh, Mr. Raghuvansh Singh as well as 17 Loksabha MPs along with 8 Rajyasabha MPs next to 1000s of activist and supporters assembled in New Delhi in addition took historic choice to figure new Political Party with the name "Rashtriya Janta Dal or RJD". Criticism and Controversies
Usage of Osama-bin-Laden’s looks alike
Whilst campaigning for the elections in Bihar in year 2005, both Lalu-Prasad Yadav and Ram-Vilas Paswan used a twin of Osama-bin-Laden to persuade Muslim voters. The look-alike would garb like osama-bin Laden, escort them in helicopter to several election meetings, allocate stage having them and create speeches which attacked United States of America for its supposed activities of anti-Muslim. Mr. Pramod Mahajan who was BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) senior leader had criticized equally leaders for it.
Corruption Allegations
Lalu-Prasad Yadav has been accused in quite a few corruption cases, most well-known being "Fodder Scam" in that about US $211.85 million or 950 crores Rs. were tapped off from department of animal husbandry. Mr. Laloo Yadav has been accused in several of 63 odd filed cases. He has remanded in charge on numerous occasions due to many cases. More than 64 persons have been condemned in the case.
On 26 November, 2001, Mr. Yadav was remanded again, in the case linked to fodder scam. He accused NDA of making conspiracy against him to trap. On 1st October, 2004, Supreme Court served notice to him as well as his wife on fodder scam. It was in answer to the petition that alleged that they’ve been prying with belatedly in investigation. As Mr. Yadav is presently the member of Union Government in Delhi, CBI has been blamed to drag the feet on issue.
Accusations alongside BJP
On 5th August 2004, Laloo Yadav stated that Mr. L K Advani who is senior leader of BJP and Opposition leader was indicted in the conspiracy for killing Mohd. Ali Jinnah plus stated him like 'international absconder'. On 14th September, 2004, Mr. Lalu asked Mr. L K Advani for coming clean on the involvement of him in alleged conspiracy for killing founder of the Pakistan, Mohd. Ali Jinnah.

Laloo Yadav is blamed in seven criminal cases along with facing the criminal charges in quite a few sections of IPC that include five serious sections of IPC.

Lalu Prasad Yadav
Lalu-Prasad Yadav is Indian well known politician of Bihar state. He was Railways Minister from year 2004 to year 2009 in ruling “United Progressive Alliance” or UPA government. He was President of Rashtriya Janata Dal. He is also the MP in Lok Sabha 15th session from Saran voters in Bihar.
He came in politics while his scholar days in Patna University. He was designated as member of Lok Sabha in year 1977 as the candidate of Janata party. At the age of 29 he became youngest member of Lok Sabha. He is famed for the mass appeal and charismatic leadership, plus has been condemned for the politics which is caste-based along with the corruption cases.
Dr. Raghuvansh Prasad Singh
Dr. Raghuvansh-Prasad Singh was born on 6 June 1946. He is member of 15th Lok Sabha in India and represents Bihar’s Vaishali constituency and is member of Rashtriya Janata Dal political party. Prasad  was Union-Cabinet Minister of Rural Development and modification in first cabionet of the government of Manmohan Singh.

Rabri Devi was born in 1959 and served 3 terms as Chief Minister of Bihar as the member of Rashtriya Janata Dal between 1997 as well as 2005.
