Buddhist Monastery of Bhutan is one of the famous and well known monasteries related to Buddhism, located near the town of Bodh Gaya. It is built in the pagoda style of architecture. Architectures
Buddhist Monastery of Bhutan is built in the pagoda style of architecture. It is decorated with lots of carvings and decorations of Buddha images and temple architecture. Inside the premises is a beautiful temple shrine along with a rest house. This serves the purpose of resting for the Buddhist monks, who arrive here or live here for the purpose of meditation. Inside the temple, there is a seven feet high Lord Buddha’s image, on which there are number of carving and inscriptions, along with Buddhist symbols. The temple itself has a number of carvings, in small structures, with small figurines, which depict the different stages of Buddhas’ lifes.
Festivals
Although there are no grand festivals conducted from the place, a number of tasks are performed from the monastery. Discourses and sermons on the life of Buddha and his teaching are propagated from this place. Also, group meditations and individual meditations are conducted in this place. Peace prayers and group prayers, offerings to the temples are conducted from time to time. Lots of Buddhist monks visit the Buddhist Monastery of Bhutan, to study the scriptures and also meditate for the peaceful surroundings around the temple and find rest in the rest house specially designed for them.

The Buddhist Monastery of Bhutan is located in the region of Bodh Gaya, which is possible to be reached by road, from Gaya, which is about 12 kms away. This city is well communicated with many other cities in the country. Nearest airport to this monastery is located at Gaya and Patna, which is at a distance of about 108 kms away. Nearest railway station is at 12 kms at Gaya.
