Brief Description
One of the most tasty and delicious dish made in home’s of India is Onion vada. Popularly used as teat time stuff or snack Onion vada preparation carries quite easy process. Onion vada tastes even tastier when tried with green chutney or tomato ketchup. Follow the steps mentioned in order to learn the Onion vada recipe in easy manner.
Preparation Time 30 minutes Cooking Time 15 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients for Onion Vada:-
- Two Cup Of Sliced Onion
- One Cup Of Chana Daal
- 250 Grams Of Gram Flour Also Called Kadala Maavu
- ¼ Tablespoon Of Chilli Powder
- ¼ Tablespoon Paste Of Ginger Garlic
- Two Properly Chopped Green Chilies
- Two Stalking Of Properly Chopped Curry Leaves
- 125 Ml Of Water
- About 0one Tablespoon Of Salt For Taste
- One Cup Oil For The Purpose Of Frying
How To MakeOnion Vada
- Use your hands to squeeze all the onions and put them in a bowl
- Take chana daal and grind it properly
- All the provided ingredients should be properly mixed with all the available resources
- Make the batter thick by addition of water so that it can help in making of vadas easily.
- Heat the oil in pan and drop the batter slowly with the help of spoon
- Keep frying the vadas in oil on mild heat from both sides until they start appearing golden brown
- Serve them in hot condition after draining all the onion vadas with absorbent paper

Some Useful Tips
- Use fine batter not having grins in order to account soft and puffy onion vada preparation
- Add some amount of baking soda before starting the onion vada recipe. Do not leave the mixture of batter with baking soda unused for long duration of time
- Take washed knife in order to confirm the complete and proper cooking of vada, pierce knife in to vada and bring the edge out. If the knife does not contain any amount of vada that means it is cooked, otherwise some more heating will be required.
