Brief Description
"Curd Vada" is among popular and famous South Indian dishes that account on days of festival celebrations and special occasions. Curd Vada recipe has dhal of Black Gram in full size as an ingredient and this is high on protein while the curd is rich ion yeast and fat. Curd Vada preparation is accounted in the country since the time of nineteenth century.
Preparation Time 1 hour Cooking Time 20 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients for Curd Vada:-
For vada:
- Urad Dal Close To 1½ Cup Also Cal Black Dal.
- Baking Powder Near About 2 Pinch
- Salt For Taste Purpose
- Oil In Deep Fry Form For Cooking
For Tempering:
- Mustard Seeds About 1/2 Tablespoon
- Curry Leaves About 1 Tablespoon
- Two Green Chilies
- Two Tablespoon Of Coriander Leaves
- Curd About Two Cups
- Salt To Provide The Taste
How To Make Curd Vada
- Grind the Urad daal in usual manner after soaking it for close to two hours to initiate the preparation.
- Add baking powder along with salt in the batter after mixing it properly.
- After the batter is prepared start making the vadas out of it and start sliding them in hot oil in order to cook them
- Initiate the process of Curd vada recipe by heating oil about one spoon. Further add the curd with some amount of green Chilies, Mustard seeds and Curry leaves to have better taste of curd.
- Mis the curd properly with addition of coriander leaves along with salt. After the process is complete, add the cooked and prepared vadas the solution in order to finish the recipe.
- Finally soak the solution of curd along with vadas for period of two hours in order to have proper and original taste. Serve them chilled to have exact taste of curd vada preparation. Curd vadas taste much better when taken in chilled form rather than in usual and normal temperature.

Some Useful Tips
- Frying of pan on very high flame should be avoided
- Avoid using of very sour and less sour curds and keep it to moderate ones.
