Apart from its water being used for irrigation, it is also employed for drinking purposes. Lots of land could be irrigated with the water supply of this lake. However, the lake’s condition has deteriorated with lots of sewage and other stuff being collected around the lake because of which the government had to step in to restore these lakes.
