Theme Park
The Theme park or Jubilee Park of Jamshedpur is not a zoo but a place for entertainment and relaxation for visitors. The Tata Steel Company has gifted this park to the children of the Steel City. This amusement park has provided joy and entertainment that was only available in the larger metro cities before this park was opened. It is a beautiful and well managed park with a lot of greenery and water bodies.
History
Also called the Jubilee Nicco Amusement Park, the amusement park is a gift by the parent company Tata Steel in their Golden Jubilee year (50 years of establishment) to the children of Tatanagar. Jawaharlal Nehru, the Prime Minister of India then, inaugurated it in 1958. Every year on the birthday of the Founder of the Tata Business House, Sir Jamshedji Tata on 3rd March, the park is lighted up and decorated.
Timings & Tariff
The park is open on all days of the week between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM
It is also open on Public Holidays.
There is no entry ticket to this park.
How to Reach
By Road
Jamshedpur is well connected by road with National and State Highways touching the city and with most of the major cities and towns of India.
By Air
The Jamshedpur airport situated at Sonari is used for smaller chartered flights during the day as facilities to land at night are not available. Now, there are also Commercial flights from Kolkata, Ranchi, Patna, New Delhi and other destinations.
By Rail
Jamshedpur or Tatanagar on the South Eastern Railway is the main railway junction in Jharkhand state. The industrial significance of Tatanagar makes the connectivity to the rest of India imperative.
Locally, bus, taxi and auto rickshaw are available to visit the park from any corner of the city.

It takes about 2 hours to enjoy all the rides and walk around the park.

Architecture
The Jubilee Park covers a vast area of 237.75 acres in the city centre of Jamshedpur. The gardens have been laid out aesthetically with colourful fountains and there is a lovely water body named the Jayanti Sarovar and the Botanical Garden called Foliage Park. The Upvan is a garden that is a favourite of picnic goers.
It is a fun place for the youth; Fun Lovers and Adventure Seekers as well as children and their parents. One can spend two or more fun-filled hours here with various thrilling rides and relax the beautiful ambience of the place.
Built on the style of the famous Brindavan gardens of Mysore, the Park is undoubtedly beautiful, spacious and enjoyable. In winters on holidays, the whole park becomes a great picnic spot for whole families or groups of friends.
The main attractions of the Theme Park are the fantastic, thrilling joy rides that children as well as adults enjoy. Rides such as Whirling in the winds, Dashing cars, Roller Coaster, derby ride, caterpillar ride and the 75 meters water slide are very popular.
