Crocodile Breeding Centre, Kurukshetra
You will find the breeding centre for crocodiles at a distance of twenty two km away from Kurukshetra. It is only 13 km away from Thanesar at Bhor Saidan which is also referred to as Bhour Saidan. This is a major pilgrimage center in Kurukshetra in the Indian state of Haryana.
Location
It is in the village of Bhaur Saidan that the Bhor Crocodile Park is a tank situated on the Pehowa-Kurukshetra road. It is sprawled over an area of 15 acre. The area consists of 6 canals and 2 marla. The present population of crocodiles in this tank is 25. If you wish to watch the reptiles from close range, a high mound inside the tank has been erected.
History
It has been said that it was a Mahant from the nearby temples who had brought the Mugger crocodiles in the 1930’s. It was in the 1980’s that the Forest Department of Haryana took control of the breeding center. Also, the village panchayat of Bhor Saidan donated some 15+ acres of land to the Haryana Government so that they could commence the breeding center. The entire tank has been fenced and a mound inside the pond was created so that you can watch the crocodiles from the close range. It was from the Crocodile Bank, Madras that 4 pairs of crocodile were obtained and they have been released therein. It now has 25 crocodiles.

In the breeding centre for crocodiles at Kurukshetra, you will find a wild pond which was made use of to rear Indian Mugger crocodiles. It has 4 female, 10 male and 10 young Mugger crocodiles.

- You are also advised not bring any sort of a packet or polythene in the park.
- You are requested not to feed the animals.
- Kindly place the garbage in dustbins provided in the park.
- You are requested not to cross the barriers as your life may be in danger if you cross them. You may be bitten or clawed by the animals .
- You are requested not to bring firearms, pets, and weapons into the park.
- You are requested not to damage trees, flowers and lawns.
- You should not tease the animals.

- There are urinals and toilets at the center for the convenience of the visitors.
- You can park your vehicles in the parking complex at the entrance for the visitors.
- You will be able to purchase the center Guide Map that you can get from the ticket window by making a payment. The foreign visitors will be able to get the map free of cost as its price has been included in their entrance fee. You will also be able to buy other publications of the center on all working days of the Government of India from the office of the Director.
