Muzaffarnagar district situated in the northern part of India falls in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is a part of Saharanpur division. The district headquarters are located in the Muzaffarnagar town.

The district is spread over an area of four thousand and eight square kilometers. The literacy percentage of the entire Muzaffarnagar district is sixty one. The Lok Sabha constituencies are located at Kairana and Muzaffarnagar.
