Kushinagar is a district located in the state Uttar Pradesh. During third century BC, the place was ruined by the viharas and stupas. At that time the prosperity of the region reached its peak. The district was discovered at Kasia in the nineteenth century. The place was invaded violently in the past by the invaders.

The region lies near Gorakhpur and is the place where Lord Buddha’s last memories were found. Kushinagar district has its own historical and cultural importance. The district was an important center for Mahavir, Buddha, Shaktipeeth, Shiv and Vaishnav.

Kushinagar is a marvelous place with rich heritage. As the place is a famous pilgrimage site for the Buddhists, foreigners as well as Indian tourists and pilgrims visit the place throughout the year.
