Uttaranchal Gopinath Mandir Chamoli Gopeshwar
Chamoli Gopeshwar temple is dedicated to lord Shiva and located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. Some famous temples are in very close vicinity of this temple is Abusuya Devi Mandir, Tunganath Mandir, and Rudranath Mandir. This temple is located very close to the pilgrimage town Badrinath. Kedarnath town is also in close vicinity of Chamoli Gopeshwar temple. In this area not only religious visits are carried out but adventure lovers also visit this area for trekking purposes.
Architecture
Though architecture of this temple is not so tough except main Tower which is conical in shape and has a square roof on top. The tower is supported with the beam shaped according to the walls of tower on both sides. Front area of this temple is just like the structure plan of Kedarnath temple. A little difference between these two temples is the construction style of front area (Sabha sthal). According to the geographical conditions roof of the temple is conical and sufficient sloppy. Just on the rear edge of the roof of front area, a simply designed 3 ft thick wall is erected in semi circular shape having the idol of Lord Shiva. Surrounding area of the temple is full of lush greenery and steep hillocks.
Festivals
There are so many attractions besides visiting this temple. Raj Jat Yatra of Nanda Devi is one of the famous attractions at this temple. This Yatra is conducted once in a 12 years long period and considered as sacred as Kumbh Snan. This Yatra pass through a 280 km long Parikrama. This Yatra starts from Karn Prayag and ends at Hemkund.
Best Time to Visit
This area is good to visit during summers as in monsoon, the treks goes muddy and difficult. Winters are too chilled and temperature goes down. Hence the summers are the best for visiting this place.

By Air
Dehradun is the nearest airport. Jolly Grant airport is located at Dehradun and operates flights from various places in the Country. Distance of this temple from airport is 227 kilometers and connected with road transportation.
By Rail
Haridwar is the nearest rail head. A large number of tourists arrive at this station being closer to the temple. Road transport means are easily available from Haridwar railway station on affordable charges.
By Road
This town is well connected by roads and state transport buses ply between the bus station and the temple at fixed interval. Taxies are more comfortable than buses to reach this place.
