Uttar Pradesh Mangladevi Temple
The renowned Mangladevi temple is devoted to its main deity called Goddess Mangladevi. According to Hindu mythology, Mangladevi is one of the incarnations of Goddess Parvathi. This sacred temple is also famous for celebrating Navaratri festival. Remember, during the festival some special rituals are performed in the temple. This white colored Hindu worship place has been designed in typical Indian style of architecture.
History
However there is no proper history available regarding the origin and construction date of the temple yet it is said that it was constructed 100 years ago by a local landlord. The sacred temple is run by a trust called Mangladevi Mandir Samiti. The main attraction of this temple is the idol of Goddess Mangladevi which is believed to be Swayambhoo or self originated. According to local inhabitants, the temple has many spiritual or supernatural powers. Mangladevi is believed to be a Goddess of mercy thus people believe that worshipping the goddess can fulfill their wishes. The sacred Mangladevi temple is frequented by thousands of visitors or pilgrims every year.
Weather and time to visit
Hardoi city has tropical climate condition thus during summer it becomes hot and humid while in winter, it becomes chilly. However, monsoon usually starts in the month of July. If you want to visit Mangladevi temple then you need to visit here from the month of March to October.
