Architecture of this temple is not different from traditional Dravidian style. A huge and beautifully designed Gopuram provides a beautiful look to the temple. Entire temple is constructed under a pond and this pond is considered very sacred. Sri Chakra (star shaped pathway) is completely shaded for ease of devotees. Verandah or passage of the temple is brilliantly constructed. Every pillar of the temple has been designed in such a manner that looks like standing on the back of elephants. Upper portion of the pillars has discs to support double layered beam. Roof of the temple is very beautifully constructed. A railing having carved designs starting from Gopuram till the Garbhagriha is very attractive and exemplary. Entire temple is surrounded by verandah. After a Parikrama of 1.8 kilometers on Shree Chakra, which is made with proper shading arrangement, a devotee reaches in front of the temple. On both sides of the temple (interiors and exteriors), wrapping of gold is created. Artisans associated with the construction of this temple are well trained with this type of work. Height of the corridor is more than 14 ft and top of the Gopuram is more than 56ft high from the ground level. There is another Golden Temple in Amritsar. Only the difference between these two, that In Golden Temple Amritsar, gold sheet is pasted on the walls from the mid of the walls while in this temple from bottom to top wrapping of gold has been done. The Vimanam and Ardha Mandapam of this temple are very huge and traditionally built. Gold coating is done even on pillar of verandah too.
