Architecture
The architectural design of this basically a Bengali style. There is a square pedestal plan found. The internal sanctum cube has an outer jacket which raises straight up from base to cornice which is maulding. There is a wall of outer jacket which has openings on every side in a rectangle form leading in front to the staircases consisting of four flying steps. It eases the accessibility to the Pradakshna Path or the circumambulatory path from almost every side. The cornice can be reached through steps found in an outward fashion having some courses of layers of bricks for making a projection and further make a slant towards the projection. The railing is found to have alternate spacing along with brick wall which further gives a horizontal layer of bricks on colonnades having gripped the salas found at the corner. The railing which appears first has a perfect cover for terrace found on top of the path of Pradakshna. The second railing which is visible is very much similar to that of the lower railing. The dome which is octagonal in shape is found after 2nd railing. The arches are convergent at the base of kalasa found inverted and is kept on the top of the dome. Every arch line can be viewed consisting of a ridge line on the surface of the dome from above.
On every four corner of the ground, there is a temple which is exactly similar to the Bengal hut on every corner. 'Garbha Griha', is the internal sanctum of a square having the Pradakshna path in its surroundings. The wall of the sanctum cube found inside may be viewed accessing towards the dome. The eight arches have parabolic lines beginning from the last layer of the brick on the cube of the sanctum. The ceiling of the Pradakshna Path or the circumambulatory path is a little bit curved.
The dome structure as well as the adorning and decoration of the railings exhibit the Islamic influence. The whole structure is formed of bricks and the perfect masonry of bricks exhibited here is of great level. It also witnesses a step towards adroitness in an artistic manner.
