Maharashtra Ekvira Mata Mandir
This temple is located near Karla caves in Lonavala of Maharashtra state of India. Basically the Koli community of the state worships this goddess but at present all the communities are worshipping at this temple. CKP caste of the state is one of the main communities who follow the goddess because the deity is the Kuldevi of their community. It is believed that this temple was constructed originally by the Pandavs while they were on their exile. Demolished in various natural calamities and reconstructed time and again. It is also believed that goddess pleased on the Pandavs effort to build this temple in one night and blessed them. Ekvira Maa is an incarnation of Renuka Devi. Approximately 450 steps are required to climb to reach this temple as this is located on a hillock. Some of the ancient caves named as Karla caves are located around the temple.
Architecture
The temple has three different shrines and all of them are faced towards western direction. The Maha Mandap and Varsha Mandap are constructed in front of the shrine. These are sixteen more shrines which are surrounding the three main shrines. Stone cut shrines have no major carving as the same were constructed in one night. In short span of time it was not possible to provide a beautiful shape.

By Air
Pune is the nearest airport located at 49 kilometers. Except it Mumbai is also the airport connected with this temple through road.
By Rail
Lonaval is the railways station from where rail transport can be grabbed located at 6 kilometers from temple.
By Road
Lonavala is the bus terminus from where govt. buses and private taxies can be availed. This stop is located t 8 kilometers from the temple.
