Maharashtra Aalpanakavu Ayyappa Temple
However, there are also idols of Maa Durga and lord Ganesha installed. Hence, due to its three main deities the temple attracts thousands of visitors or devotees towards it every year. According to Hindu mythology, without worshipping lord Ganpathi, no spiritual Puja can be performed thus he has top place in all kinds of Hindu rituals. Moreover, there is also Maa Durga present in the temple who is considered as an Adi-Shakti or fundamental source of energy.
History
The temple has mainly three important deities – Lord Ganpathi, Maa Durga Devi and Lord Ayyappa. The temple is managed by a charitable society, Sangham charitable organization. The charitable trust was established in 1969 with the title of Aalpanakavu Durgadevi Mandir. The trust was initially begun by some devotes. Earlier there was a small Durga temple found. The land wherein the temple is situated is total 500 square yards and donated by a local landlord, Chitaranjan Sharma.
Having seen the spiritual progress as well as the booming numbers of devotes, the Ayyappa Seva organization and Durga Devi Sangham decided to build a single platform for sacred performing of Hindu Pooja ceremonies. Hence, in the year of 1983 and onwards the joint spiritual venture have been greatly performing sacred Pooja ceremonies under a single title with Aalpanakavu Temple charitable sangham organization. This sacred temple is especially known for its sacred Puja ceremonies that cannot be seen elsewhere in the country.

By Air
Being a commercial capital of India, Mumbai city has world-class airports. The nearest airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji international airport that connects city to all other parts of the country as well as world. Hence, from airport visitors or devotees can hire taxis, buses and cabs to reach at the temple.
By Rail
Some of the nearest railway stations are Vidvavihar railway station only 2 km, Ghatkopar railway station also 2 km and Tilaknagar railway station 4 km far from Aalpanakavu Ayyappa temple.

Visitors or devotees can also get road-transportation to reach at the temple.
\Weather And Time to Visit
Winters – from November to February, the temperature dropping down to 10 degree Celsius thus city becomes cool and dry.
Summers – from March to May, the temperature rises to 40 degree Celsius thus city becomes hot and humid.
Monsoons – from June to September, during this period, the city enjoys heavy rainfalls with great humidity. So travelling in this season becomes really difficult because of rains.
It is a known fact that dry and humid seasons greatly dominates city’s weather thus the right time to visit at the location is from October to March.
