Eravikulangara Bhagavathy Temple is located in the Ernakulam district, Kerala. The temple is specifically a Hindu temple, which has the idol of Lord Bhagavan Sivan and Lord Bhagavan Ayyappan. The worship of both the deities is done by performing “Melsanthi” by the devotees and along with this Lalitha Saharanamam is also chanted. This is the basic ritual performed every day in the temple. This kind of ritual is mainly done to bring good health and prosperity to the devotees who offer their prayers in the temple.
History
The origin of the temple is about 1600 years old and this is revealed by the Ashtamangalya persona which was held to know the emergence of the temple. Vilwamangalam Swamiyar was the first person who had the glimpse of Devi Maa at that place. Therefore, the hill place where the temple is located is also known as Thiruviluam Kunnu. Later, it was also revealed that the Lord Shiva and Lord Sastha too have their presence and from then people started worshipping them also. In 2008, it was emphasized that there is a need to have Prathishta of Brahma Rakshas and Naga Sarppam in the temple therefore it was then performed with all the rules and rituals and again the prathista of both the deities was done in 2008.
Festival
The festival performed annually in the temple is called Ganesolsavam Festival. This festival is celebrated every year on Ganesha Chathurthi. On this day, Ganapathi Havana is done by the hands of Thanthri of the Eravikulangara temple. This is all done to get the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Other poojas are also conducted such as Vinayaka. Mandala Poojas & Ayyappan Vilakku for 41 days of Mandalakalam. The lord is worshipped for 41 days during the pooja. Pongal is also celebrated with great liveliness and enthusiasm by the people of Kerala. During the festivals the temple is decortaed with flowers and lights and on the occasion of Thrikkarthika Vilakku the temple is decorated with handmade clay diyas.
The temple timings are: 5:00a.m to 8:00a.m in the morning and 5:00p.m to 8:00p.m in the evening.

The temple is situated in Ernakulam which is between Angamaly and Nedumbassery district of Kerala. Angamaly Railway Station is 5 kms away from the temple. Nedumbassery International Airport is 1 km away from the temple. It is also accessible by bus.
