Haryana Birla Mandir
The temple is known for its elegance architecture and marble work. The temple is devoted to various Gods such as Lord Krishna, Arjuan, Shiva and Guru Tegh Bahadur. It is a known fact that whole Birla Mandir is built of white marble. The scenic beauty as well as spiritual glory attracts visitors or devotees towards it. Moreover, at the gate of temple, a marble-built huge size dazzling chariot has been installed. The sacred chariot is drawn along with four horses and on the chariot Lord Krishna and prince Arjuna seated.
History
The sacred temple was constructed by Jugal Birla in 1952. According to the Hindu mythology, Thanesar is the location where the battle of Mahabharata held. Moreover, during the war, the Pandavas worshipped lord Shiva at this area. Hence, at this location, visitors or pilgrims can see various ancient as well as modern Hindu temples. The Birla temple is considered as a contemporary temple but due to its elegant architecture it becomes very popular among visitors or devotees. The important point about the temple is that it is not devoted to a single God but here one can see various Gods of Hindu as well as Sikh religion such as Lord Shri Krishna, prince Arjuna, Guru Tegh Bahadurji, Lord Shiva and many others. Visitors or pilgrims all over the country visit at Birla temple to have Darshan of their desired deity.
According to a folklore, during the war of Mahabharata a bird , residing here was worried about the security of her eggs thus it prayed to God to save its eggs then a bell of elephant fell on eggs and kept them secure till the end of the war.

Weather and Time to Visit
The climate condition of the town is just like all other parts of the state. During summers it becomes very hot and scorching while in winters it becomes very cold. However, monsoon offers good rain falls in the month of July. So the best time to get there is from the month of October to March.
