Gujarat Shree Umiya Mataji Temple
The temple is divided into three parts first is the Mansarovar, second the main temple and third is the Dharamshala that is also in the vicinity of Temple.
The depth and the width of the mansarovar are 120 feet each respectively while its height is 56 feet and hass a well in the center of it. There is also a Shivalaya that is on the eastern side of the sarovar and is 28 feet in its height and 9 feet in width. The construction of the sarovar began on 1st April in year 1887 and it was completed on 13th February in year 1894.
The main temple of Mata Umiya is as high as 63 feet and 9 inch high. The length of the temple in the east-western direction goes to 86 feet and 6 inch while the length in North-south is 81 feet and 6 inch. There is also a Rangmandap that is located in the main temple and the dimensions of this mandap are 26 feet and 8 inch long and 11 feet and 1 inch wide. A chauki that is 11 feet and 1 inch long and wide is also part of Mata Umiya temple. A Mandovar in the temple is 15 feet and 7 inch in dimensions.
The third part of the temple campus is the Dharamshala. This Dharamshala encircles all around the temple that is kept at distance of25 to 30 feet from the temple. The Dharamshala goes to a length of 185 feet that goes from west direction to east. To the North and south is 160 feet and 148 feet wide respectively. There are 3 main doors that resemble the doors like in any palace while it is protected by four walls that form the citadel like structure around the dharamshala. The pillars and the floors have been built using the stone. It has a robust porch along with the 4 balconies that are on the door facing the north direction. A room of the dimension 22 feet a long and 11 foot wide has been constructed for the singers who chant the bhajans for Mata Umiya.
Mata Umiya has been declared as the Goddess of Universe. She is also the kuldevi of KadyaPatidar community. Her incarnations are Mata Lakshmi, Mata Saraswati and Mata Kali. During the time when devils tried to overpower themselves the goddess has taken so many forms and acted as the savior of this universe.
Another important part of temple is the Mata Umiya’s Jyotirath that costedRs. 8, 60,600 and the dimensions of the rath are 23 inch long, 8 inches wide and 15 inches high. This rath has been attached to a TATA 407 a mini truck so that it can be taken during the rathyatras.
The rath was greeted with all pomp and show in Unjha on the date 23rd October in the year 1997. The yatra of the rath began from Gujarat and later it moved to 742 villages that are part of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. During the procession of this rathyatra a huge sum of fund was collected for providing the financial support to the educational trusts that were run by the trustees of the temple. It has been recorded that an amount of Rs. 7 crores was collected during the rathyatra procession.

By Rail
The nearest rail line to reach Unjha is in Ahmedabad. The taxi and buses can be taken from railway station to reach Unjha for the temple visit.
By Air
Ahmedabad is the nearest airport to reach Unjha. Buses and taxis can be hired to reach Unjha from airport.
By Road
Unjha can be reached via state transport buses that ply from various locations in cities of Gujarat.
Accomodation
There are three dharmshalas that are located around the temple and these three are named as Pathik Ashram-1, Pathik Ashram-2 and Pathik Ashram-3. Ashram 1 is on the northern side of the temple while Ashram 2 and Ashram 3 are on the eastern side.
Ashram 1 has a total of 36 rooms along with 3 store rooms, a canteen and 5 halls for public. The Pathik Ashram 2 is has staff-quarters for the people working for temple while Pathik Ashram 3 has 24 rooms that include 2 AC rooms also.
