Gujarat Baps Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Rajkot
The city of Rajkot has a special connection with Swami Narayan Sampraday as Lord Swami Narayan met the British Governor of Bombay in Rajkot itself. There are many others of the family who have close connections with the city. The main deities of this temple are Laxminarayan Dev, HariKrishna Maharaj and Ghanshyam Maharaj. There are idols of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, Aksharbrahman Gunatitanand Swami and Shri Gopalanand Swami, Shri Ghanshyam Maharaj and Shri Harikrishna Maharaj and Shri Radha - Krishna Dev too.
History
The satsang in hari mandir was getting popular day by day in 1990's and that was the time when the decision was taken to build the swaminarayan temple by Yogiji maharaj and the temple was ready in 1998for devotees.
How to Reach
Air
There is an international airport nearby Rajkot which is well connected to Mumbai and to all other major cities of India and abroad. Sahara Airlines and Jet airways have frequent flights on that route and Air India flies four flights a week.
Road
Bus service is also available which connects major cities in Gujarat to Rajkot.
Train
All the major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore, Kochi and Bhopal are connected with Rajkot via rail route and have frequent trains in that route. The railway Station is also not far away from the mandir. The distance between the temple and Rajkot railway station is 4.0 Kms.
